Dr. Sadaf Ishaque is an Assistant Professor at Shalamar Hospital in Lahore, specializing in general and breast surgery. With extensive experience, she is highly skilled in all aspects of breast health and the surgical management of complex breast diseases. Dr. Ishaque's clinical interests include breast cancer, benign masses, and advanced surgical techniques. She has received training and certifications in oncoplastic breast surgery. Additionally, she has played a crucial role in establishing the One-Stop Breast Clinic at Shalamar Institute of Health Sciences. Dr. Ishaque is actively involved in community services for breast cancer awareness and has presented her research at various conferences. Dr. Sadaf Ishaque is a highly skilled general and breast surgeon specializing in all aspects of breast health and the surgical management of complex breast diseases. She provides comprehensive care for both women and men, including those with newly diagnosed or previous history of breast cancer, benign breast masses and cysts, abnormal imaging, fibrocystic breast disease, and genetic susceptibility or high risk for breast cancer. Dr. Ishaque's extensive knowledge of novel treatment modalities ensures that her patients receive the most up-to-date and effective care. Her technical expertise in procedures such as nipplesparing mastectomy, oncoplastic surgery, sentinel lymph node biopsy, and minimally invasive techniques contributes to exceptional clinical and aesthetic outcomes for her patients.

 

Research Interests

Dr. Sadaf has interest in breast surgery research.

  • Incharge, One-Stop Breast Clinic at Shalamar Institute of Health Sciences, Lahore since January 2020.

  • Assistant Professor of Breast and General Surgery at Shalamar Institute of Health Sciences, Lahore since October 2015.

          o    Led the establishment of Breast Clinic projects, demonstrating creativity and resourcefulness in

                 providing breast health services with limited resources.
          o    Acted as a team leader, delegating tasks and providing feedback to ensure optimal project

                outcomes.
          o    Played a key role in the concept development and completion of the Women Health Center

                collaboration between Johns Hopkins Medical International and Shalamar Hospital.
          o    Managed the One-Stop Breast Clinic, overseeing resident training, breast nurses, and

                navigators.
          o    Actively engaged in community services and raising awareness about breast cancer.

  • Served as an Attending Surgeon at Ittefaq Hospital, Lahore from March 2018 to June 2021.

  • Participated in continuing education programs, including an international observer role at Johns Hopkins Breast centers in Baltimore, USA, and professional development workshops conducted by the American Society of Breast Surgeons and UAE.

  • Attended the 6th International Multidisciplinary Breast Conference in Dubai in March 2023.
