Dr. Shaoib Zubairi is a compassionate and experienced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with a remarkable track record of delivering high-quality care to patients spanning all age groups. His expertise encompasses a wide spectrum of procedures, ranging from Oro-Maxillofacial Trauma and Head and Neck Tumor ablative surgeries to Orthognathic Surgery, biopsies, anesthetic administration, wisdom teeth extraction, and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Zubairi excels in managing both emergency and scheduled cases with professionalism and efficiency, underpinned by excellent communication and interpersonal skills. He places a strong emphasis on providing patients with clear and concise information about their diagnoses and treatment options, and his proven ability to collaborate with other healthcare professionals ensures the creation of tailored, individualized treatment plans for his patients.

Clinical Services & Interests

​

As a dedicated Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr Zubairi’s clinical services and interests are multifaceted and focused on comprehensive patient care. He actively engages in the pre and post-operative care of Head & Neck cancer patients, while also participating in various surgical procedures at different training levels. Additionally, he plays a pivotal role in conducting departmental audits on a regular basis to enhance and monitor healthcare standards, aligning with JCIA activities. He prioritizes promoting awareness of Oral Cancer and its prevention through live sessions and journal clubs. 

 

Research Interests

The research interests of the Maxillofacial Surgeon primarily revolve around three key areas. First, the assessment of outcomes of temporomandibular joint arthrocentesis in the treatment of internal derangement of the temporomandibular joint, which seeks to enhance our understanding of this therapeutic approach. Second, the examination of the frequency of post-operative complications after functional and selective neck dissection, particularly in previously untreated patients with oral cavity squamous cell carcinoma, with the aim of improving patient care in this critical domain. Lastly, a focus on the comparison of outcomes in immediate versus delayed management of patients with gunshot injuries, through a prospective study conducted in a tertiary care hospital.
